Continuing on the Blissville series, we get the story of Trent, a.k.a Dr Love Josh s ex from college. not that I remembered and Tucker, a firefighter I didn t really remember them meeting, but apparently they had some sparks between them and had even gone on a disastrous date Trent left for six months to work at Doctors without borders swoon and Tucker never got a chance 3.5 Stars Really liked it The story was hot , sweet and had very little angst a perfect puff romance. better But that spark gets rekindled when they have a chance encounter at the local animal shelter where Tucker volunteers Although Trent was looking to adopt one shelter animal, he falls for 2 adorable cats, Boris and Natasha and also snags the opportunity to talk to Tucker With some meddling from Tucker s grandma the two hit it off and soon they are burning up the sheets.Everything is hunky dory till Trent s evil parents show up to un...Nah I shivered when the author unironically wrote bubble butt This was a shiver of premonition of bad things to come And come they did The characters didn t I didn t get that far Two things really killed this for me the ridiculously quick jump to sexual thoughts from both characters and the incredibly stilted and cringey dialogue The interactions between characters felt like romcom scripts had been force fed to an AI that was then required to spit out its own version The result is Nah I shivered when the author unironically wrote bubble butt This was a shiver of premonition of bad things ...Tucker and Trent.I didn t remember them, and I know that each one can be read as a standalone, I just didn t remember anyone from previous books in the series, so I may have to go back for a refresher Maybe my mind is just slippin, I dunno But, Trent and Tucker had gone out once before things were good with them, but to Tucker, they seemed to be in different tax brackets, and after a fancy date at a nice restaurant, Tucker let his own insecurities cause him to run While Trent went Tucker and Trent.I didn t remember them, and I know that each one can be read as a standalone, I just didn t remember anyone from previous bo...I really love getting to meet these guys, but I tell you, what absolutely made this book the best for me was Grammie She is a pistol She says what she thinks and who cares if they don t like it I hope I m like her when I get older lol Tucker and Trent have had a date before They seemed to have great turns out to be easy as the two actually get along quite well In fact, it s pretty evident to all who know them, including Tucker s outrageous Grammie, who raised him, that th...I liked the premise of the book Unfortunately, it didn t live up to it At least for me I liked the main characters Trent and Tucker just fine Personally, I think different names would have been better, at first I kept mixing them up, as each chapter is written from a different perspective But with the similar names it was confusing Besides that I would have liked the storyif it hadn t been for the needless drama I parents should take a long walk off a short pier the men knew what they wanted and wouldn t acc...this series is everything it is amazing and well written it is sexy and perfect haha i love this author so much. tucker and trent are an amazing couple. and their furbabies are so much fun. the chemistry between them is. wow. and addictive haha i wanted so muchi loved it
