failed at that and the Scooby Gang just sounds really dumb and fake Kind of annoying too that some of the charac...Wow Cordelia jumping in to help Spike might just be my favourite thing about this I could absolutely be there for a friendship between them And seeing Buffy and Spike together on a page so soon makes me all kinds of giddy.Still really enjoying the artwork and the bits from the original show that stayed the same Not liking the changes so much, I d recommend this seriesfor teens or adults who have never seen the original show I think this is my personal stopping point.Here comes trouble.Ok, I think the author needs to re watch and read everything pertaining to the Buffy verse Growth is there for a reason Yes, we are in 2019, but there is still growth from the 90s you can transfer to now That does not mean you can completely get rid of characters, change personalities, or better yet, get rid of witty dialogue, or meld character traits together in order to push Xander or super nice Cordelia, and I don t find the writing witty, I find it cringe worthy No my thing, sorry.This issue finally has some action and let me tell you, I have missed it greatly Every episode of Buffy was action packed, so having the first few issues that were essentially the first 15 minutes of an episode made me scratch my head a little One thing I would like to know when did Willow and Xander get so proficient at fighting While I can t really be sure of how much time has passed between each issue, I can only assume that the events of one immediately follow the one before not just how woke the characters are, but that they re ready to fight from day one This issue wasn t as much fun just because it was the big battle and an issue that is basically one long fight scene has never been my thing Though I really can t wait for the next issue, SO MANY questions, like why is Dru actually pretty sane Are Darla and Angel going to pop up And is Xander going to die in the next issue Bec I really am loving the reinterpretation of Buffy from the beginning, especially not just how woke the characters are, but that they re ready to fight from day one This issue wasn t as much fun just because it was the big battle and an issue that is basically one long fight scene has never been my thing Thoug...Now it s starting to feel like all the important players for this plot are being introduced I was wondering how long it would take to see these guys I m personally happy for it, and I imagine other Buffy fans are as well Buffy s ex...That Was Brilliant.To me, this issue encapsulates what I love about Buffy The friendships, the humour, the mythology, the brilliant villains, all working so well under Jordie Bellaire s writing Having Buffy find her Pegasus is wonderful, early on, and that Buffy has a bat pegasus on her side now And Dru is less crazy andin chargeI love the throwbacks to the original series and I think the story is just the right level of corny The art is great and the adaptation to today s era is fairly accurate.
