Wolfe and George R.R Martin to Gary ...Absolutely amazing I ve never read anything quite like Vance s Dying Earth stories, and that s a good thing I m not a huge fantasy fan, but this is generically classified as fantasy Jack Vance has a knack for language He uses words that aren t well known but add a different type of depth to the story The dialogue is unique It s very formal yet at the same time very witty and full of sarcasm Other reviews condemn the stories for the florid and formal dialogue, mostly because it s not conve Absolutely amazing I ve never read anything quite like Vance s
