slow build eerie atmosphere of the previous books which I loved.Another draw for me with this series was the chemistry between Louisa and Mr Morningside in the first two books, which sadly disappeared in Tomb Of Ancients I know that it was probably wishful thinking on my part though because this series is classed as a gothic horror not a romance but I m sure I wasn t the only disa I loved the previous two books but found this one a little hard to follow The story was fast paced compared to the slow build eerie atmosphere of the previous books which I loved.Another draw for me with this series was the chemistry between Louisa and Mr Morningside in the first two books, which sadly disappeared in Tomb Of Ancients I know that it was probably wishful...What a great end to a phenomenal series I can t give this book enough praise Some people were bummed that a certain ship didn t sail, however I enjoyed the ships that were in this novel Dalton was always too precious for this world amazing ending However, I was mistaken The storyline was confusing and not thoroughly paced What angered meis that the little romance that was going on between Mr.Morningside and Louisa in the first and second books had disappeared inside this book What s worse is that Madeleine Roux decided to randomly marry Louisa off to Khent, who was not relevant until this book I am so sad and disappointed liked the story the pace that intrigued me and kept me coming back forin the first two was missing in this addition to the trilogy It felt rushed and not in a good way I would like enjoy reading a novella about the epilogue.Ahhh, I needed that A fast paced, entertaining jaunt Again, I neededof a refresher of the last book but was too lazy and managed to muddle through anyway I appreciated how quick the book was to get to point and to the action A satisfying end to a solid series.sigh I have no idea what just happened The first two books were great But this one was so fast paced and slightly confusing at times I almost felt like I was reading something completely different from the other books.I had quite and completely forgotten that Roux had a final book coming out in this trilogy until I saw it pop up in some list of random meanderings around GR Perhaps it was because of the random shift of narrative in the second part Perhaps it was because of the tired and overused good Devil plot that s been around since Milton sympathized with him in the 17th century Either way, this book did another horrible job of completing a trilogy that got out of sync The first book in this series w I had quite and completely forgotten that Roux had a final book coming out in this trilogy until I saw it pop up in some list of random meanderings around GR Perhaps it was because of the random shift of narrative in the second part Perhaps it was because of the tired and overused good Devil plot that s been around since Milton sympathized with him in the 17th century Either way, this book did another horrible job of completing a trilogy that got out of sync The first book in this series was remarkable to me It was full of mystery and intrigue, piqued my interest on every page, and gave artful writing to grease the wheels of a complicated plot While the writing hiccoughed in Court of Shadows I even had to look up the title again for that one , it came back strongly in this finale, but the skill could not make up for convenient character insertions, plot holes, tangential arcs, and evil a hole angels that I was frankly sick of reading about by the ...By far the least good of the series But then again, I read it for funsies and not because I was super attached to the characters or world like a lot of people seem to be Therefore, the fact that it moved at a quicker pace and didn t have so many shining moments from beloved characters, didn t bother me too much I still think this series should ve hadfun with its kooky premise and taken itself waaayyy less somehow nothing felt truly dangerous or risky for her Louisa is a fighter and a survivor and I found the theme of sacrifice to be a little off.This book also had waybody I did not connect with this book as well as I did the last two I feel like a bad reader for it It was a good book I saw it through to the end I found the ending satisfying I just didn t find myself rooting for anyone at
