but this is my first Before We Were Strangers is suspenseful and romantic It s also twisty with characters you both love and hate Unfortunately I wasn t a fan of the writing style in this novel so I m giving this 3.5 s.While I read Before We Were Strangers I realized again how much I enjoy romantic suspense Especially when the story feels like a real mystery that keeps me on my toes throughout the entire book.Besides the slow burn and second chance romance that wound its way through the novel, and made my romance reader heart ...The plot of this book is quite strong a daughter returns to her home town after 10 years away, determined to face up to her buried suspicion that her father had something to do with the disappearance of her mother all those years ago It promised the unearthing of buried skeletons, a mystery being untangled and the conflicting emotions tied up with such a prodigal return.Unfortunately for me it failed to deliver on some of those promises One of the main frustrations I had was with the pace The plot of this book is quite strong a daughter returns to her home town after 10 years away, determined to face up to her buried suspicion that her father had something to do with the disappearance of her mother all those years ago It promised the unearthing of buried skeletons, a mystery being untangled and the conflicting emotions tied up with such a
