rehashing old classics but that s just not Marvel s or DC s for that matter style unimaginativeness is the watchword So, like Mark Millar s Enemy of the State, Tom Taylor s third Wolverine book This nice if Marvel s writers could come up with orig...I really wasn t enjoying this one to start with but it pulled its socks up a bit at the very end, clawing its way see what I did there up to a 3 star rating from the 2 stars I had been planning on giving it Just.Tom Taylor has truly made All New Wolverine a character piece This story is all about Laura, and the lovely side cast, that mold her into who she truly is now Wolverine is trying to get away from the city with Gabby Too much bad has happened We find out about a gas that makes Laura go nuts and feral She is infected with it when she goes into town and kills a bunch of people She is then on the run Other characters come in, and we begin to dive deeper into the broken nature of the young w Tom Taylor has truly made All New Wolverine a character piece This story is all about...Tom Taylor has a good thing going here Good story telling, new characters introduced with some cool story arcs developing and ending Gambit makes an appearance which was probably the best part Didnt excite me as much as the previous Volumes but still very good.Ok, i m officially hooked All New Wolverine is now one of my favourite series and Enemy of the State II was another entertaining arc, one with real importance for Laura Kinney.I d never even heard of the original story, but Tom Taylor writes everything and everyone so well that it wasn t an issue When Laura is threatened by her past, she and Gabby go on the run until it inevitably catches up with her The new Wolverine runs afoul of S.H.I.E.L.D and Nick Fury who Taylor entertainingly great dialogue which makes them as memorable as the story they re a part of Especially Gabby, who continues to be a sheer delight, providing comedic relief in contrast to Laura s darker, intimate narrative.Although the artwork isn t as impressive, it sconsistent than the previous volume and is pretty so...GODDAMMIT I DO NOT WANT TO LIKE TOM TAYLOR YOU KNOW WHAT THIS FUCKER DID HE DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND HE FUCKING DID IT WELL YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE HE WENT BACK TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL AND HE BROUGHT IN SHIT THAT NEEDED TO BE DEALT WITH.WHEN I STARTED THIS BOOK I WAS ALL LIKE OH HERE WE GO AGAIN, BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY POSSIBLE PLOT LAURA LENDS HERSELF TO AND IT S NOT LIKE IT S BEEN DONE TO DEATH AND THEN GAMBIT SHOWED UP AND I WAS LIKE WAIT ARE YOU DOING SOMETHING GOOD HERE BECAUSE N GODDAMMIT I DO NOT WANT TO LIKE TOM TAYLOR YOU KNOW WHAT THIS FUCKER DID...4.5 I can t believe this is the same writer that writes the awful Injustice booksWorld The art is great, I like Lopez waythan Virella, but it s still pretty great The sense of motion is not there for this book but the best part are the characters and how they emote, it s beautiful The world building, wow what can I say, this is really a full circle arc all they way back to Innocence Lost by Kyle and I loved every bit of the world Taylor has built a nice little piece of the MU for La 4.5 I can t believe this is the same writer that writes the awful Injustice booksWorld The art is great, I like Lopez waythan Virella, but it s still pretty great The sense of motion is not there for this book but the best part are the characters and how they emote, it s beautiful The world building, wow what can I say, this is really a full circle arc all they way back to Innocence Lost by Kyle and I loved every bit of the world Taylor has ...Seasoned fans of X 23, rejoice This trade returns the trigger scent, longstanding bane of X 23 s existence, as well as an unwelcome face from her past.Writer Tom Taylor shows that he truly understands these characters, establishing how effective and deceptive each of them can be, as well as finally tying up see...So this is NOTHING like the first Enemy of the State, and that is great I was worried it was going to be a retread of that original Wolverine story Instead, this is a tale of Laura trying to overcome her greatest fears and to move beyond her p...Bloody hell, that was good.I mentioned in my review for volume 1 how Tom Taylor is using continuity really well, and this volume turns that up to eleven as all of Laura s worst nightmares come back to haunt her This is billed as Enemy Of The State II, but it s definitely its own story, as Kimura uses trigger scent to send Wolverine on a rampage, so she then finds herself in the sights of not just SHIELD, but her boyfriend, her old mentor Gambit, and the entire population of Madripoor The concl Bloody hell, that was good.I mentioned in my review for volume 1 how Tom Taylor is using continuity really
