book is that it is neither charming or fun I could not stand the main character as I found him pretentious and superficial The plot lacked realism and I do not feel it reflects the Russia of that this gentleman had me laugh out loud I would have loved to have met himThis really was a special book, one which at times felt almost magical.Count Alexander Rostov was always a man who enjoyed the
