because both characters switched places somewhere along the story, and saw what it feels like to be in one another s shoes.I found the choice to use Rick s POV from the second book brilliant We get to meet Adrian as a teenager, and later as a confident man and drag queen extraordinaire, objectively Martin was.a bit o 4.5 stars I don t usually like stories with bullies, because I was bullied as a friendship with Adrian brings them into the story and while I had no trouble liking Adrian, Martin was a little tougher sell but not buy much Adrian may have been a bit over the top and flamboyant, he
