with not even a rest stop for hours I found myself immersed in the wonderful world and mystery of Devonshire Scream Such a treat to have this book on my table I did not read it when it came out last year in hardcover and I so enjoyed having the chance to read and review it now I think this may be my favorite in this seri Laura Child s Devonshire Scream kept me busy through the long stretch of pretty consistently rate as three stars But, this series is probably perfectly written for what it is a cozy mystery series It s not supposed to challenge me intellectually which it doesn t or give me feel of any of the other books in the series and felt like someone other than the writer penned this story While all the characters were there, they all said and did things that at no time in the past have they done so Theo appears stronger, but is muchcrass, Haley is not the delightful young assistant and Drayton is less than his debonair self There was no warmth in this book at all While I want I
