can imagine many readers loving it, I wasn t one of them It s well written, it s vividly imagined, it s character focused, and it s charged through with sweet melancholy, all things I usually adore What I can t get past, though, is the use of a consistent first person, present tense narrative voice for several different characters, chapter by chapter Although these characters are all very
