Thanks to a buddy read and an author focus month, I picked it up and actually managed to finish it The writing is well done I could feel the emotions of the characters and knew what motivated them I there s Gracie Gracie is me as a teenager From the first scene, I knew what her every move would be and it was oddly refreshing ...Raw and heart breaking yet hopeful I devoured this novel like a thirsty person drinking cold water.Carmen and Gracie are both broken, however broken in different ways Their stories combine to become one and it is partially through each other that they find healing My favorite character in this novel was Ben He was faithful and supportive He loved Carmen when she wasn t very lovable The Art of Losing Yourself reeks of reality and shows how God is there when we
