knowabout her I believe that her memoir helped me to understandabout her and a little bitabout politics in general While I still have no desire whatsoever to be a politician, Gillibrand s book helped me to see that maybe I d like to be a littleinvolved with it While I personally wouldn t want to use this book in a full classroom setting, I think it would be interesting if our Off the Sidelines was an important book to read I like Kirsten Gillibrand...So inspiring and thought provoking Shares some highlights if her early years and how she was inspired to get into politics by then First Lady Hilary Clinton She then talks about the issues she covered in the house then the Senate She talks about different issues such as learning how to blend work and family, being a working mother, weight, being kind and why she serves It s a call to action for women and something akin to Lean In with apolitical bent And I love how she talks abo So inspiring and thought provoking Shares some highlights if her early...Part campaign biography, part political manifesto Interesting to see the thought processes of one of the few women in Congress who have talked openly about the intense sexism still going on or who at least will write it down in their memoir Interesting especially in light of current choices ...
