interested as the story slowly doled out the puzzle pieces of the circumstances that led to the downward spiral of her family and brought her to trial Though I m not often a fan of the flashback flashforward method of storytelling, I thought it worked really well in this book I could always tell if I was in the past or the present, and I think it I liked with a few tiny quibbles this story of a girl accused of being responsible for her brother s death I liked CeCe as a character and stayed interested as the story slowly doled out the puzzle pieces of the circumstances that led to the downward spiral of her family and brought her to trial Though I m not often a fan of the flashback flashforward method of storytelling, I thought it worked really well in this book I could always tell if I was in the past or the present, and I think it helped build suspense The family relationships in the story were well drawn and, at times, pretty heartbreaking There s a touch of romance that some
