I liked the format Using a line through the page to represent a hospital curtain was certainly different from anything I had seen before and for the most part, I thought it was successful I also liked that the story was about a girl who has Crohn s Disease It s a condition that doesn t get a lot of attention in literature While, I do give Lucy Frank credit for bringing attention to Crohn s Disease, When I first picked up this book, I thought Lucy Frank had an interesting idea First of all, I liked the format Using a line through the page to represent a hospital curtain was certainly different from anything I had seen before and for the most part, I thought it was successful I also liked that the story was about a girl who has Crohn s Disease It s a condition that doesn t get a lot of attention in literature While, I do give Lucy Frank credit for bringing attention to Crohn s Disease, I really felt like there was a lot of missed opportunity I don t really understand the disease any better than I did before I read this book A few medical terms were thrown around but for most of the book the main character ignored her doctor everytime he tried to explain to her what was going the hospital room on its respective side of the page I also appreciate that Frank decided to tackle an unusual topic There are a lot of YA books about girls with all kinds of illnesses, but I can t think of any others that cover Crohn s.Well this was a journey I was definitely skeptical going into this book Picked it up thinking it was a mental health book It s not It s a fictional story about Crohn s disease in verse Which is super random 3 stars.Let s start this review off with the book itself I love the cover I love that the front and back of the book is a picture of two different
