also available However, the primary reason Ellen has left her hometown is a broken heart.Kurt Lang is a German immigrant who has lived in Pepin for about six months by the time Ellen moves to town He and his teenage brother and their young nephew moved to Americ...This was such a good read by Lyn Cote It was also special to me as it is about a schoolteacher who is going to teach in a town that would not be far from me This book also talks about the problems that the barges have with the freezing of the Mississippi and that is doesn t run busine...Loved it Lyn Cote did another excellent job with this novel I enjoyed following the journeys of both Kurt and Ellen Their unique backgrounds enlightening the prejudices of the past and causing their love story to be evenspecial.Once again Lyn Cote keeps us on the edge of our chairs with fully dimensional characters facing dilemmas as they try to live their lives This book is a must read.Loved this series
