key to set your teeth ...I rarely know how to rate or review the TV shows based books All I can say is that I really liked the show I loved, loved the characters except Juliette, but it s normal to have a couple of those too If I can think of what to say about ...I have so many issues with this book I m a big fan of media tie in novels, they can be fun and nice, quick,relaxing reads When done well This was not done well.I can t believe that the author has seenthan a few episodes of Grimm Probably first season episodes, with a summary of what goes on in season 2 Because, characterization wise, I felt like this book wanted to be set in season 1, but the author also wanted Hank to be involved in the wesen side of things, and so needed it to be in I have so many issues with this book I m a big fan of media tie in novels, they can be ...So, this wasn t the first Grimm inspired novel and I m glad it won t be the last Not because this one was fabulousit was okay, but because the next one will be written by a different author Ouch was that a bit cruel I don t necessarily mean to say that John Shirley is a terrible author, I just don t think he was the right person to pen an original weeks ago and have enjoyed watching it Can t wait to read the next bookLet me start by listing the good thing about this book.1 The plot of the story was good.That s it That is the ONLY good thing I can possibly think of to say about it.Now for the BAD There are quite a few bad things I had issues with, so bear with me 1 GrammarThe author has a very poor understanding of grammar and construction of sentences including punctuation I would have thought his editor would have corrected his errors, but NO If it had been one, two or a few error...There s a new threat in Portland the Icy Touch, a criminal cartel made entirely out of brutal Wesen The leader of which has a long standing grudge against Nick and his familyBut how can the police face a criminal gang when they cannot be told about the wesen And how can Nick fight as a Grimm when he is also bound by his work as a cop and his own fear of what he is becoming This is a book based on a TV series which means it s pretty much episode but marred by some moments when character voices don t feel right Otherwise fairly good.I don t think I ve really mentioned it here, since this blog is for books and not shows, but I really love Grimm Enough that I ve watched it twice and I introduced my brother to it So when I very belatedly realised that there were novels to accompany the TV series, I decided to pick it up.The Icy Touch is set sometime after season two of Grimm after the Coins, after Juliette has recovered her memories and Hank is aware of the Wesen world Captain Renard notices that the victim of the I don t
