Enterprise, so I applaud them for trying to give him some depth in this novel, and they mostly succeeded.I m almost through my Enterprise rewatch and WTF were they thinking with that theme song , but the whole time I was watching, I was thinking When do they bring the Xindi in Thats how I feel about the novel series too I m plowing thru these early 3.5 stars, grudingly rounded up I love w...Actual rating 4.5 5I think that this book was a really good way to give some of the characters we don t see in the showpersonality and screen time Honestly, I always wondered why Reed had such little personality and background about him, though we do have an episode where we learn a lot about him I really liked the style of the novel and how it went back and fourth through the story Also, I can t help pointing out the romance in this book It wasn t rushed, it wasn t love at first Actual rating 4.5 5I think that this book was a really good way to give some of the characters we don t see in the showpersonality and screen time Honestly, I always wondered why Reed had such little personality and background about him, though we do have an episode where we learn a lot about him I really liked the style of the novel and how it went back and fourth through the story Also, I can t help pointing out the romance in this book It wasn t rushed, it wasn t love at first site, something almost always impossible I think that the author did an amazing job with creating Ensign Hart with a good balance of good and bad personality traits and his getting to know the character was fun I found to sad to find out what happen...The Enterprise answers a distress call and discovers an alien outpost on a small planetoid But the crew soon discovers that they ve stumbled into the middle of a war between two alien races over the technology from similar installations across this sector of space Reed gets personally involved in the conflict when it causes the death of one of...I have to say I ve never been a huge ENT fan, but I thought this was a really good story and a great book The way the story was told in flashbacks was awesome This is a definite recommend for any Trekkie.This was go0dWe get to see Reed not quite so stiff I liked the whole possession thingKinda like Fallen meets Star TrekThis is a quick and enjoyable enough read, though disappointing in some ways This novel featuring Lieutenant Reed is told from his point of view, giving an interesting and different perspective However, I found I missed the insight I m used to having into what the top brass are thinking and plotting It would have been preferable to switch viewpoints for additional segments to get the whole picture The book is also made up of about fifty percent flashback, so the reader has to pay close
